The program is designed to provide women with practical tools and personal development skills aimed at fostering independence and long-term success.

The first day of activities centered on self-development and financial literacy.

Participants engaged in a self-leadership session led by Christine Smith, while emotional intelligence training was facilitated by Marcelli Richards of BELTRAIDE’s BTEC unit.

The event also featured a Financial Power Panel with representatives from the Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and St. Francis Xavier Credit Union (SFXCU), who shared insights on financial management and economic opportunities.

In addition, Saul Osorio of BTEC conducted a hands-on budgeting workshop aimed at improving participants’ practical money management skills.

Opening remarks were delivered by Minister of Human Development, Family Support and Gender Affairs Thea Garcia-Ramirez, who highlighted the importance of empowerment and community support.
