By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology issued a statement today assuring that all Belizean students currently studying in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela are safe following the earthquake that struck that country on 24 June 2026.
“Through the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contact has been established with the students, all of whom have confirmed that they are safe and have reported no physical injuries,” the Ministry said.
The Ministry extended its thoughts to all those affected by this natural disaster and will continue to monitor the situation in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
