By Breaking Belize News Staff: A second cold front is approaching and will cross the country later today, bringing cold and relatively moist conditions. The National Meteorological Service forecasts cloudy skies today with a few sunny breaks. Tonight, skies will be cloudy. A few showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms will develop mainly along coastal areas and offshore.
Average high temperatures forecast today will be 77 degrees Fahrenheit in coastal areas; 72 degrees in the interior and 68 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 70 degrees along the coast, 64 degrees inland and 60 degrees in the hills.
Winds will be northwesterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is light chop to choppy. A small craft caution remains in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers or thunderstorms.
Tides are low as at 6:11 this morning. A high tide follows at 12:09 this afternoon; a low tide at 5:08 this evening; and a high tide at 11:16 this evening.
The sun sets at 5:27 this evening and rises at 6:22 Saturday morning.
On Saturday expect cold and windy conditions along with a few showers or light rain developing mainly along south coast and offshore.
