By Zoila Palma: The Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) marked the successful completion of the Belize Post-Familiarization Tour following the inaugural K’iiwik Mundo Maya Trade Show in Mérida, Yucatán.
Belize’s delegation, featuring BTIA, BTB, and the Ministry of Tourism joined regional partners to showcase Belize’s vibrant tourism product. International travel professionals explored iconic sites like Caracol Archaeological Reserve, connected with stakeholders, and experienced the culture, hospitality, and natural beauty that make Belize a world-class destination.
The BTIA says that these firsthand experiences strengthen Belize’s position in the regional marketplace, turning connections into opportunities and building pathways for increased visitation and partnerships.
“A heartfelt thank you to our hotel partners, tour operators, transportation providers, and stakeholders for making this tour a success. Together, we continue to elevate Belize and the wider Mundo Maya region,” BTIA expressed.
