By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belize is putting its nautical tourism offerings on display at the 67th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida.
The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) and the International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize (IMMARBE) are hosting a joint exhibition aimed at yacht owners, captains, charter brokers and boating enthusiasts.
The partnership pairs the Belize flag with the destination, so visitors leave knowing they can both register their vessels and cruise in Belize.
The booth’s message is simple: flag it, cruise it, fish it and fly in.
Visitors can learn about the benefits of registering a yacht with IMMARBE and sailing under the Belize flag. They will also discover the Belize Barrier Reef, offshore atolls and coastal marinas, along with rainforests, ancient Maya sites and Belize’s vibrant cultures on land.
Belize’s world class sport fishing is also a highlight, from the Grand Slam of bonefish, permit and tarpon on the flats of San Pedro, Placencia, Turneffe Atoll and Punta Gorda, to offshore marlin, sailfish and tuna.
Belize is at Booth 854 in the Yacht Builders Tent at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center. The show runs through Sunday, November 1.
