The event is being held from May 30 to June 6, 2026.
Representing Belize and driving crucial conversations on environmental financing are:
- Judene Tingling-Linares (GEF Operational Focal Point (Alt.), Ministry of Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Solid Waste Management)
- Leroy Martinez (GEF Political Focal Point & Director of the Climate Finance Unit, Ministry of Economic Transformation)
Belize’s participation focuses on securing critical climate financing aligned with Plan Belize 2.0 and champion the needs of Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
Through high-level dialogues, the delegation continues to strengthen Belize’s 30-year partnership with the GEF to build community resilience, protect natural resources, and empower the next generation of environmental leaders.
