By Aaron Humes: 43-year-old Marlon “Tiny” Usher was fatally stabbed on the night of Sunday, February 22. The incident occurred around 9:15 PM on Doris Brooks Street, where police believe Usher was ambushed while walking to a friend’s house.
ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer told reporters on Monday, “Police are seeking one male person in connection with the fatal stabbing … What we know so far in the course of this investigation is that Usher was walking on Doris Brooks Street when he was accosted by the suspect who inflicted the fatal injuries to him.”
Witnesses reported there had been an argument two nights prior to the attack, where the suspect accused Usher of communicating with his girlfriend. Neighbors believe this confrontation may have led to the subsequent violence.
Police continue their investigations.
