By Aaron Humes: A Belize City man told police he was attacked and robbed late on Monday night while under high influence of alcohol.
The complainant, of Belizean and Salvadoran nationality and resident of St Martin de Porres area, told police that he was walking in the area of Euphrates and Amara Avenues around 10 p.m. when someone approached and hit him from behind, knocking him to the ground.
He later realized he had been robbed of his Samsung cell phone and $3,000 cash. Police assisted him to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment and have started an investigation.
