By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can expect another warm and mostly dry day as stable weather conditions continue to dominate the country.
According to the National Meteorological Service, mostly sunny skies will prevail throughout Thursday, with clear to partly cloudy conditions expected tonight. Forecasters say little to no rainfall is anticipated across most of the country, although there remains a slight chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms over the extreme south later tonight.
Temperatures are expected to remain high, especially inland where highs could reach 96 degrees Fahrenheit. Coastal areas will see temperatures around 89 degrees, while the hills can expect a more comfortable 84 degrees.
The current weather pattern is being driven by warm and mostly dry conditions across the region, allowing for several consecutive days of favorable weather.
Marine conditions remain moderate, with easterly to southeasterly winds between 10 and 20 knots and wave heights ranging from four to six feet. Boaters and fishermen are advised to continue exercising normal caution while at sea.
The forecast offers good news for outdoor activities, tourism operators, farmers, and businesses that depend on stable weather conditions. Beaches, islands, archaeological sites, and inland attractions are expected to benefit from the sunshine.
Looking ahead, the National Meteorological Service says similar weather conditions are expected to continue through Friday and Friday night, with only isolated rainfall chances.
Meanwhile, there are no tropical cyclone threats expected for Belize or the surrounding region during the next 48 hours.
For many Belizeans, the forecast means another opportunity to enjoy sunny skies before the more active months of the hurricane season arrive later in the year.
