By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Belize Ambassador to Taiwan Dr. Candice Pitts attended the closing ceremony for the “159th Regular Session on Infrastructure Development and Planning-Net Zero and Sustainable Development,” as well as the “160th Regular Session on Agricultural Development and Policy -Net Zero and Sustainable Development,” hosted by the International Center for Land Policy Studies and Training (ICLPST).
Ambassador Pitts delivered some remarks on behalf of the Diplomatic Corps.
In her remarks, Ambassador Pitts indicated that the knowledge and techniques to manage land and rural development, as well as tax programs, that participants receive are particularly important to many countries, such as Belize, that are perpetually seeking capacity building, sustainability, and the improvement of their land management systems.
Ambassador Pitts also congratulated Belizean participant Kamilah Cardona, and all the other participants for completing their training courses successfully.
Ambassador Pitts thanked ICLPST, coordinators, faculty, and everyone who made these courses, their benefits, and their impact possible.
