The Belize Agricultural Health Authority invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position:
Plant Health Officer
Minimum qualification and skills: Associate Degree in Agricultural Science or Biology.
Competencies:
- Strong work ethics, practices and integrity.
- Excellent inter-personal and organizational skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and working knowledge of Spanish.
- Strong computer skills particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent reporting skills.
- Ability to perform field work with minimal supervision.
- Capacity and flexibility to work in remote areas.
- Highly motivated team player who takes initiative.
- Valid class “A” driver’s license
The primary function of the Plant Health Officer is to conduct plant health activities in pest surveillance, inspection and certification, diagnostics, pest control/eradication, public relations, and general plant health related field work.

Salary: BAHA Pay Scale 10 of 2026: $19,591.84 x 938.12 – $37,416.19
