By Zoila Palma: Aspiring Mayor of San Ignacio and Santa Elena, PUP Mayoral candidate Aaron Mai has said farewell to Cayo Centre for Employment Training (Cayo CET).
“It is with a heart full of gratitude and appreciation that I announce my transition into a new season. Today marks the end of my journey at Cayo CET, an institution that has been an important part of my professional life.
Leaving behind my students, colleagues, and an establishment that has given me the privilege of inspiring and shaping so many young minds is not easy. However, I consider it one of the greatest accomplishments and most rewarding experiences of my professional journey. The opportunity to teach, mentor, encourage, and contribute to the development of our young people is something I will forever cherish,” Mai said.
Mai said that this is a transition into a new season of public service and pursue his vision of becoming Mayor of San Ignacio and Santa Elena.
“I do so with faith, humility, and a heart ready to serve. I believe the skills, experiences, and lessons gained through education have prepared me to serve our community at an even greater capacity.
Sometimes, God closes one chapter to prepare us for another. While I leave this chapter with a sense of nostalgia, I step into the next with excitement, courage, and unwavering faith in His plans for my life,” he added.
Mai thanked Cayo CET, for having been given the opportunity to serve as educator for 8 years.
