By Aaron Humes: At its first press conference on the deadly Tropic Air hijacking since the incident, which took place on Holy Thursday-almost two weeks ago-CEO in the Office of the Prime Minister Narda Garcia, has promised on behalf of the Government that a full report will be made at the close of the investigation of Akinyela Taylor.
Taylor was the American citizen responsible for the hijacking of a Tropic Air Cessna Caravan on April 17. It was an unprecedented incident in Belizean domestic air travel and sparked intense debate over the subject.
Garcia commended the response of the relevant authorities to the incident, expressed sympathies to the injured, and warned that Belize would show resolve against any entity that threatens national security.
