By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Orange Walk police are investigating a report of sexual assault involving a minor in San Roman Village.
According to police, on Monday, November 2, the minor visited the Orange Walk Police Station with her mother and reported that the incident happened around 5:30pm on Saturday, October 31, at her home.
She told police that a man known to the family entered the room where she was and touched her inappropriately. She pushed his hand away, moved away from him and later fled the house with another child to a relative’s home, where they waited for her mother and police.
Several statements have been recorded, and the scene was photographed. Court action has been requested.
A man is wanted in connection with the report. Police have not released further details as the matter remains under investigation.
