By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Professional welders and companies in Belize now have an opportunity to validate welding skills through an industry qualification programme being offered by the STEM U Foundation.
The programme provides welder training and qualification according to AWS standards.
Qualification is available in all positions using SMAW, also known as Stick welding, GMAW or MIG, and GTAW or TIG.
Materials covered include carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Individual qualification costs BZ$900.
Companies and groups can also request custom pricing depending on their needs.
Qualification sessions are available Monday through Friday after 5:00 p.m., making the programme accessible to working professionals.
