By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): An Orange Walk Town family is appealing for the public’s help in finding 33-year-old Albert Joseph Johnston, who left home to play basketball on Monday evening and has not been seen since.
According to the Belize Police Department, the man’s mother reported that Johnston left her home in Orange Walk Town at around 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, en route to a sports center on Aurora Street to play basketball. Up to the time of her report on Tuesday evening, he had not returned home.
Johnston is described as being of Hispanic descent, slim built, with brown eyes, standing about 6 feet in height. He has a large cross tattoo on his left upper arm and two star tattoos on his abdomen. He was last seen wearing a black sleeveless shirt, dark blue short pants, black tennis shoes, and a blue cap with a bull image.
His mother further reported that Johnston lives with a mental health condition, bipolar disorder, and had not taken his medication, deepening the family’s fear that something may have happened to him. Anyone who encounters him is asked to approach with patience and care, and to contact the authorities.
Police have recorded a statement and circulated his particulars, and search efforts through Tuesday night into Wednesday morning have so far been unsuccessful.
Anyone who has seen Albert Johnston or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Orange Walk Police Station, the nearest police station, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 922.
Readers are encouraged to share this appeal. Every share widens the search, and somewhere out there, someone has seen him.
