Caribbean Shipping Agencies Ltd. marked its 50th anniversary on June 9, commemorating five decades of service to Belize’s maritime, shipping and tourism industries.
The company was founded on June 9, 1976, by the late Stanley Longsworth Sr., who, together with his wife Laura Longsworth and brother John “Jack” Longsworth Sr., built what would become one of Belize’s most respected shipping agencies.
From its beginnings as a wholly Belizean-owned family business, Caribbean Shipping Agencies quickly established a reputation for professionalism, reliability and excellence.
Today, the company serves as port agent for numerous international shipping lines and some of the world’s largest cruise operators.
Its impressive portfolio includes Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Virgin Voyages, Viking Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Margaritaville at Sea and many others.
The company’s growth over the past five decades reflects not only strong leadership but also the dedication of generations of employees who helped build the business into a recognized name throughout the region.
