NEMO monitoring situation after Earthquake off Cuba felt in Belize

By Zoila Palma:  Today, the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), in collaboration with the National Meteorological Service of Belize released an information bulletin regarding a 6.4 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Cuba region at 12:00 PM today, June 8, 2026.

NEMO and the Met Service says that they continue to monitor the situation closely alongside the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC).

Residents are advised to stay calm and always rely on official information channels.
