The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing informs the general public of the transportation of extra-wide and oversized steel truss segments from Georgeville to Santa Familia Village. Each oversized load is approximately 20 ft wide and may take up more than one lane.
The delivery of trusses will leave Georgeville and travel east to the roundabout at the intersection of the George Price Highway and the Spanish Lookout Road. From there, they will proceed through Spanish Lookout and along the Spanish Lookout–Bullet Tree Road to the construction site in Santa Familia Village.
These trips will occur on Friday, June 12, 2026, and Saturday, June 13, 2026, commencing at 9:00 a.m. There will be two trips per day.
The public is advised to be vigilant and exercise extreme caution when approaching or navigating past the heavy equipment transporting these structural steel trusses. The extra-wide load may, at times, occupy almost the entire width of the highway, and traffic traveling in the opposite direction may be required to pull off the road to allow the loads to pass. Drivers are asked to watch for traffic escorts, to reduce speed, to heed the warnings put in place, and to follow the instructions from traffic managers.
All drivers are encouraged to abide by transport and safety precautions and exercise due care and attention at all times.
