By Zoila Palma: On April 22, 2026, the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) congratulated Sigourney Dianett of Belize High School, Belize City, who placed 3rd (tie) in the Senior Division of the 2025 FCCA Foundation for the Caribbean Children’s Essay Competition.
Her entry stood out among submissions from across the region, exploring the topic, “If I Were a Cruise Passenger, What Would I Like to See or Do in My Country.”
Lloyd Enriquez, Director of Cruise and Capacity Development, presented her with her prize.
“We commend all participating students, their teachers, and destinations across the Caribbean for their creativity and commitment to marine conservation through this meaningful initiative,” the BTB said.
