Pocasangre grew up working the land with her family and turned her love for farming into a successful business that supplies fresh produce to Belmopan and Belize City.
Pocasangre is known for her determination and business sense.
She also prepares meals for her community using what she grows.
Always looking to improve, she has taken training courses to earn a food handler’s certificate and a pesticide applicator’s license, and she uses modern equipment to keep her farm running smoothly.
The Ministry of Agriculture says that her achievements highlight the important role of women in Belize’s agricultural sector.
