By Zoila Palma: Legendary American action film star Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86.
A post on his official Facebook page confirmed that he passed away on Thursday March 19.
“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.
To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family,” the statement said.
Norris rose to prominence in Hollywood through a series of action films and later cemented his legacy with his lead role as Cordell Walker in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger, which aired from 1993 to 2001.
His tough on-screen persona became a defining feature of his career and contributed to his widespread popularity.
His family described him as a man who “lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved,” adding that his work, discipline, and kindness inspired millions worldwide and left a lasting impact.
“Thank you for loving him with us.,” the family said.
