According to Earthquake Track, Kingston has experienced a moderate level of seismic activity, with an average of 7 earthquakes per year with a magnitude of 4 or higher.

There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The earthquake’s impact is still being assessed.

Kingston’s history of significant earthquakes includes a 5.4 magnitude quake in October 2023 and a 5.0 magnitude quake in February 2026.
