By Zoila Palma: During cabinet’s session on February 18, 2026, cabinet endorsed a loan for a project to build a wastewater collection and treatment system in Caye Caulker to improve services provided by Belize Water Services Limited (BWSL).
In addition, cabinet agreed to seek the approval of the House of Representatives to enter into a sovereign-guarantee agreement for the sum of US$10m from IDB to be lent to BWSL.
