Caribbean Chicken Limited extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Mr. Mark Anthony Gabourel, who tragically lost his life as a result of a senseless act of violence during an attempted robbery involving one of the company’s sales trucks in Belmopan City yesterday.
Mr. Gabourel was a dedicated employee of Caribbean Chicken Limited for the past three (3) years attached to our Belmopan Retail Store. During that time, he carried out his duties with commitment and integrity, working honestly to provide for himself and his family. The loss of his life while engaged in lawful work is deeply painful and profoundly saddening to the entire Caribbean Chicken Limited family.
We mourn not only the passing of a valued team member, but the loss of a human life taken far too soon by an act that serves no purpose and brings immeasurable grief. No one should have to fear for their life while earning an honest living.
Caribbean Chicken Limited stands in solidarity with Mr. Gabourel’s family during this incredibly difficult time and offers its full sympathy, prayers, and support. We also extend our thoughts to our employees and the wider community who have been affected by this tragic event.
As a company, we strongly condemn all acts of violence within our Belizean society and call for peace, respect for life, and justice. We will continue to cooperate fully with the authorities as they carry out their investigations.
