By Zoila Palma: The family of San Ignacio resident Melanie Moody is continuing their desperate search after she went missing more than a week ago.
According to relatives, they last heard from Melanie on August 29, 2025, and she has not been seen or heard from since.
In response, the family has organized community-led search efforts in several areas, including Kontiki, Santiago Juan, San Jose Succotz, and Benque Viejo.
They are asking for the public’s support:
Volunteers willing to assist with search efforts are welcome to join.
Anyone with information about Melanie’s whereabouts is urged to contact the police immediately.
The family remains hopeful and is pleading for any leads that could help bring Melanie home safely.
