By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Belize Investment Summit 2025 concluded on Friday at the Grand Caribe after three days of packed sessions that drew strong attendance from investors, policymakers, and business leaders across the region and beyond. Themed “Bridging Markets, Building Resilience,” the event positioned Belize as a rising investment hub connecting CARICOM, Central America, and Southeastern Mexico.
Prime Minister John Briceño opened the summit earlier in the week by presenting Belize as a “beacon of opportunity,” citing advances in climate finance, debt restructuring, marine conservation, and the digitalization of government services. He emphasized that reforms in business registration, licensing, taxation, and fiscal management are reducing bureaucracy and improving investor confidence.
One of the most anticipated contributions came from Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, who encouraged Belize to be intentional in attracting influential brands and to capitalize on its natural beauty and human capital. Stewart said Belize has the potential to stand out in the global luxury tourism market if government and private sector stakeholders work hand in hand.
The summit’s conclusion was hailed as a success, with participants praising Belize’s progress and discussing opportunities in trade, the Blue and Green Economies, and public-private partnerships.
