By Zoila Palma: Four-term Mayor of San Ignacio and Santa Elena Earl Trapp Jr. has renamed the San Ignacio and Santa Elena Town hall building as the Earl Trapp building.
However, some residents have raised concerns about the renaming of the building.
Photos circulating online show the newly placed sign on the building.
The image has sparked criticism and discussion among community members, many of whom question the process behind the decision to name the building after the current mayor.
Among discussions on social media include the self-promotion of the Mayor while others say that it is a way to honor Trapp as the current Mayor.
