By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a stabbing incident that left a police officer injured.
29-year-old Oliver Jiron, a police officer of Belmopan, was observed at Western Regional with a stab wound to the right side of his shoulder earlier this morning, Friday.
Jiron reported that he was socializing with a known taxi driver at a local nightclub. He stepped outside to change his shirt, and while doing so, he was attacked and stabbed by four men. An individual came to his aid and later transported him to the hospital.
Oliver Jiron has since been discharged from the hospital. Police investigations continue.
