OWFA 1st Division heats up; Week 2 promises competitive matchups

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Orange Walk Football Association (OWFA) 1st Division Amateur Closing Championship is well underway, with champions Yo Creek United and subchampions San Jose Pumas setting the stage for a competitive season. The opening weekend saw both teams secure crucial victories, signaling their intent to dominate the competition once again.

San Jose Pumas kicked off the championship with a decisive 2-0 victory over August Pine Ridge Central on Saturday, March 8, at the Louisiana Football Field. Then, on Sunday, March 9, Yo Creek United edged Mi Gente in a tight 3-2 encounter.

Now, anticipation builds for Week 2, which promises a series of exciting clashes at the Louisiana Football Field.

Entrance Fee is $7.00.
