Pallotti High School beat St Catherine Academy 20-10, win 3rd place in Central Secondary Schools Sports Association Girls Softball Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Pallotti High School captured third place in the Central Secondary Schools Sports Association (CSSSA) Girls Softball Championship on Saturday.

Pallotti played a confident game beating archrivals St Catherine Academy (SCA) 20 runs to 10 at Rogers Stadium in Belize City claimed the third rank.

Recently, Pallotti won the CSSSA Football Championship over SCA in a 3-2 final at the Marion Jones Sports Complex.

EP Yorke High School (EPYHS) and Nazarene High School will be playing for the girls’ regional softball title in the final next Saturday, March 15.

Meanwhile, Wesley College and EPYHS are playing the third-place game in the Boys Championship on Saturday at Rogers Stadium as well.

The boys are playing under the Paige System. The team that loses today finishes in third place while the winners advance to the final against Gwen Lizarraga High School. That final will also be played next Saturday, March 15.

The CSSSA Champions qualify for the National Secondary Schools Sports Association (NSSSA) Championship, slated to be held in Punta Gorda on Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22.
