G-Flow’s Jyven Gonzalez wins 3rd Annual Alfred Parks Memorial ‘Ketch di Bull’ Cycling Classic

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Jyven Gonzalez of the G-Flow Cycling Team won the 3rd Annual Alfred Parks Memorial ‘Catch da Bull’ Cycling Classic held Sunday from Cotton Tree to Santa Elena and back all the way to Belize City, on the George Price Highway.

Oscar Quiroz of Valvoline secured second, and Carlton Robinson of the A. Mahler Digi Alliance Team took third. Fourth place went to Goran Gabourel (A. Mahler Digi Alliance Team), fifth to Delton Rojas (Rolling Shattaz), sixth to Byron Pope (A. Mahler Digi Alliance Team), seventh to Jairo Campos (Wateva Boz), eighth to Ivan Vallecillo (Santino’s Elite), ninth to Jaylen Briceño (G-Flow), and tenth to Joslyn Chavarria Jr. (Santino’s Elite).

In the Masters category, Pope clinched first place, followed by Vallecillo in second and Philip Leslie of SPD Cycling Team in third.

In the Masters 50+, Robert Liam Stewart, an independent rider, took first, Dwayne Wade of BZ-Boyz Cycling Team came second, and Roque Matus of M&M Engineering finished third.

In the Men’s Junior, Valvoline’s Keith Enwright was first, with G-Flow’s Malakai Myvette (G-Flow) and Ahmad Cherrington (G-Flow) in second and third.

In the Men’s Youth, Cherrington also claimed first, followed by two Rolling Shattaz’s riders: Jahroy Gladden in second and Johan Choto in third.

In the Women’s Elite category, Francine Gigli of Lovell Cycling Team won, with Paulita Chavarria (Chavarria’s Cycling Club) and Gabrielle Lovell (Lovell Cycling Team) rounding out the top three.

In the Women’s Junior category, Chelsy Gillett from Imani’s Cycling Team clinched the victory. Gillett was followed by Irene Baki of Wiliam Racing Development in second place, and Brandi Tzul of Team Cayo in third.

Finally, in the Women’s Youth category, Arielle Gordon from Griga Cycling Team secured the top spot. Lliani Choto of Troyer Treats took second place, with unattached rider Jamella Gladden coming in third.
