By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Taurus Hammock Bridge 10-Mile Circuit is scheduled to take place on February 16, 2025. This event promises a challenging and scenic route for all participants, featuring picturesque bridges and lush landscapes.
The race will start at 5:45 am at the Taurus Blocks and Building Supplies on the Branch Mouth Road in San Ignacio, with a registration fee of $40. All participants will receive finisher medals, and there are cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers. The first, second, and third place winners in both categories will be awarded cash prizes, adding an extra layer of competition to the race.
The event’s promotional material highlights several stunning bridges that will be part of the circuit. These include a modern concrete bridge, a rustic wooden bridge, and a suspension bridge, each offering unique views and challenges for the runners. The central logo features a bull, symbolizing strength and endurance, qualities that participants will need for this demanding race.
