By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Following the recent rains, the low-lying wooden bridge connecting San Ignacio and Santa Elena remains closed due to flooding.
Since the Hawkesworth Bridge remains closed for renovations, motorists are all using the new Santa Elena Town Bridge in San Ignacio and Santa Elena.
The Iguana Creek bridge connecting Spanish Lookout is also closed due to flooding.
