By Aaron Humes: After 14 weeks the William Dawson Sprite Basketball Tournament 2024 reached its final four.
On Sunday October 20, the final four teams (Division A – Hattieville Underdogs, Hardrock Boyz & Division B – Don One, Orange Court Generals), battled against each other at the Yabra Green basketball court to become the champs of their divisions and also to earn their place in the final two, to battle for the first prize of $5,000.
In game one, Hardrock Boyz defeated Hattieville Underdogs 37 to 29 and in game two it was Orange Court Generals 43, Don One 34.
Championship Sunday is October 27, 2 p.m., Yabra Green Basketball Court. The third-place game will be between Hattieville and Don One and then Hard Rock, defending two-time Champions will meet the Generals in the championship game.
The William Dawson Sprite Basketball Tournament 2024 is sponsored by Sprite, Ministry of Home Affairs, Belize Police Department, Leadership Intervention Unit, Dolphin Productions Ltd., Social Security Board, Rotary Club of Belize, Atlantic Bank, Central Bank. It is held in partnership with the National Sports Council, Department of Youth Services, and the Belize District Basketball Association.
