Belize City Council informs of closure and traffic notices in relation to funeral for Stephanie Lindo

By Aaron Humes: The Belize City Council has announced that in recognition of Monday’s funeral for late City Administrator Stephanie Lindo, all Belize City Council offices will be closed throughout the day.

The Michael Finnegan Market, however, will remain open.

The closure is to facilitate staff to attend the funeral, which will be held at the Holy Redeemer Cathedral on North Front Street.

Also on Monday, to accommodate the funeral line up and procession, North Front Street will be closed from its intersection with Pickstock Street while Hyde’s Lane will be closed between New Road and North Front Street. The closure takes effect at 9 a.m. and lasts till noon.

Access to Hyde’s Lane during this time will only be granted to those attending Holy Redeemer Credit Union (HRCU).

Enforcement officers will be assisting with traffic flow.

City Hall apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
