Stars Academy take down Caesar Ridge 1-0 in William Dawson Peace Cup at MCC Grounds in Belize City

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Stars Academy edged Caesar Ridge 1-0 in the second match of the day in the William Dawson Peace Cup at the MCC Grounds in Belize City, according to the report by the Leadership Intervention Unit’s Sherlette O’Brien.

The match appeared headed to a scoreless draw but Kadeem Castillo hit the only goal of the match in the 88^th minute for Star Academy to collect the three points

In the first game, Lake I ran past the Sandhill Warriors 3-0. Peter Morgan opened the scoring in the 39^th minute. Hubert Baptist netted the second in the 50^th minute and Lawrence Leslie sealed the 3-0 victory in the 71^st.

The third game features Ebony Lake against Fort George.

Over at the Albert Hoy Field, Hattieville United Youth Sporting Club downed West Lake 1-0 on a 33^rd minute goal by Lebron Robinson in the first game of the day.

In the second, Kelly Street doubled up on Tut Bay Yabra 2-1. Ronald Salvador put Tut Bay ahead 1-0 on an own goal in the 51^st minute but Camron Diego tied the game 1-1 in the 65^th. Late in the game, Francis Andrews hammered in the winner in the 82^nd for the Kelly Street celebration.

Port Loyola are facing Survivors United in the final game of the day at the Albert Hoy Field.
