Premier League of Belize: Altitude host Verdes in most attractive match in 2023-24 Closing Championship 2nd week

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Champions Altitude are kicking off the Premier League of Belize (PLB) 2023-24 Closing Championship with the toughest games. After dispatching subchampions Port Layola 3-2 last weekend, Altitude are now taking on 2022-23 Champions Verdes on Saturday.

The match is scheduled for 7:30 pm at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence.

Altitude and Verdes have had  a strong rivalry over the last few years replacing the Verdes-Bandits of yesteryear.

Of the other matches, the most attractive is the Benque derby, featuring Benque Viejo United and Police Benque (Club Deportivo Benque) at the Edmund Marshalleck Stadium in Benque Viejo del Carmen.

Bandits, for their part, will be matching up against Progresso at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan.

All three Saturday matches start at 7:30 PM.

The only match scheduled for Sunday features Port Loyola hosting Wagaya at Marion Jones Sporting Complex in Belize City at 4:00 pm.
