By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On November 28, 2023, Cabinet met during its regular session.

During the session, cabinet approved for the Financial Services Commission to effect the administrative strike-off of inactive companies that have failed to re-register since the enactment of the Belize Companies Act that was published in July 2022.

All existing businesses were required to re-register using the online business registry system (OBRS) for the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry (BCCAR) and the Financial Services Commission (FSC).
