By Aaron Humes: While their victim, 53-year-old Elmer Francisco, survived a gun attack on Christmas Eve, police have yet to catch up to the two men seen on surveillance camera allegedly perpetrating the attack.
This evening, Crime Stoppers Belize announced a reward of $1,000 for information to assist investigators in finding the duo who hit Crystal Auto Rental on Sunday evening.
Two men showed up at the car lot inquiring about a vehicle. When Francisco, a caretaker on the property, said they had run out, he was met with gunfire. ACP Hilberto Romero provides
Police say they do not know at present whether Francisco or someone else, perhaps his boss, was the intended target. Their investigations continue.
