By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On June 5, 2024, the Belize National Celebrations Commission officially unveiled the Belize at 43 theme for this year’s September celebrations.

Belizeans prepare to celebrate the 43rd Anniversary of Belize’s Independence with school parades, presentations, talent shows and proud displays of patriotism.

From 615 entries, the winning entry was submitted by David Watson from San Pedro Village in the Corozal District.

The winning theme ‘𝗔 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲: 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲@𝟰𝟯’ will now be imprinted on tshirts, cups and more promoting Belize and celebrating strides since Independence.
