By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A house fire on San Pablo Street in Orange Walk Town left a 34 by 34 zinc structure engulfed in flames Sunday night.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on February 22, 2026. Police responding to the scene observed the house fully ablaze upon arrival.
Fire personnel were already on location attempting to bring the flames under control.
The homeowner, 67-year-old Filogonio Novelo, told officials that he was at church when his son informed him that the house was on fire.
Firefighters remained on the scene working to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
