A proud graduate of the University of Belize with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Yvette turned her ambitions into action soon after completing her studies. In 1995, she founded M&M Distributors, a paper and textiles import and distribution business, and later became the Founding Executive Director of the Belize National Paper Convertors (BNPC) in 2001.
Her journey reflects the determination and vision of a woman who believes in creating opportunities—not only for herself but for others around her.
Beyond her success in business, Yvette is deeply committed to empowering women and giving back to her community.
As President of the Belize Alumni Association (BAA), she continues to advocate for positive change through mentorship, volunteerism, and education. She has personally donated school supplies to local institutions, supported families in need, and actively participates in women’s groups that champion empowerment and social support.
Yvette’s global experiences have also shaped her drive to strengthen Belize’s business community.
Her participation in the 2015 Global Entrepreneur’s Summit in Kenya and the 2017 International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on Women in Entrepreneurship in Minnesota inspired her to think bigger and to work toward policy changes that make entrepreneurship more accessible for Belizean women.
Through her leadership, generosity, and advocacy, Yvette Mazariegos continues to inspire a new generation of women entrepreneurs across Belize.
