By Zoila Palma: On October 3rd, participants of the Resilient Rural Belize (RRB) Youth Managers Program gathered for a closing workshop, marking the completion of an intensive six-month training journey.
The session celebrated not only the end of the program but also the beginning of a new chapter for the young leaders who have grown through months of hands-on learning and professional development.
Throughout the program, participants demonstrated exceptional commitment, perseverance, and a strong desire to learn—qualities the initiative sought to nurture among Belize’s next generation of agricultural and rural development leaders.
During the closing workshop, several youth managers presented business plans they developed as part of their coursework.
These plans are expected to guide and support the growth of their respective producer organizations, reflecting the practical skills and entrepreneurial mindset fostered through the program.
