By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The 1-week Youth in Agriculture Summer camp continues to engage youths in Agriculture.
On August 22, 2024, the youths learned how to transform raw agricultural products into valuable goods.
From making jams and jellies to creating nutritious snacks, the session empowered them with hands-on skills and knowledge about adding value to what they grow.
About 85 youths are participating in the camp that is facilitated by the Ministry of Agriculture at the Yo Creek Agriculture Station in Orange Walk.
The youths participated in hands-on agricultural activities, fostering a new generation of future farmers.
These activities are designed to introduce the youth to practical techniques and inspire an interest in sustainable farming.
