By Breaking Belize News Staff: He won’t be going to the Holy Land but Sean Edward Pitter Jr., 26, a resident of Pitter Street and convicted member of the Jerusalem Bone Yard Crips (JBYC), will spend six months in jail after pleading guilty to promoting a gang-related activity.
Police linked Pitter Jr. to several photographs found on his Facebook profile in which he displayed gang hand signs. During his arraignment last week Thursday, October 2, 2025, before Magistrate Mannon Dennison in Court #6, Pitter Jr. admitted that he was the individual in the photographs.
The custodial sentence was imposed because this is Pitter Jr.’s second conviction for a gang-related offense. Court records show he was previously convicted for being a member of a gang.
According to police reports, the Gang Intelligence Investigation & Interdiction Unit (G13) have been monitoring gang activity in Belize City, including the JBYC, which operates primarily in Precinct 2 and the Collet Constituency. The gang, known for their blue colors and use of the “30s” insignia, has longstanding rivalries with other city gangs, including the George Street Gang, Neighborhood Bloods (NHB), Afghanistan Crew, Throw the Park Gang, GAZA Next Generation, and Peace in the Village (PIV), resulting in several fatal and non-fatal shootings over the years.
Evidence gathered during investigations and interviews with sources within the gang led to Pitter Jr.’s arrest. In the presence of a Justice of the Peace, he admitted that the person in the photographs was him, prompting his charge for promoting gang-related activity.
