By Zoila Palma:  Ymanoli Garcia, Conservation Business Manager at the Ya’axché Conservation Trust, is representing Belize in the 2025 Taiwan Global Pathfinders Initiative Diplomatic Allies Inbound Track Program.

The month-long program, hosted in Taiwan, brings together young professionals from around the world to explore and exchange ideas on sustainable tourism and environmental leadership.

During the four-week initiative, Garcia will engage in workshops, field visits, and collaborative projects designed to strengthen her expertise in sustainable development and tourism management.

Garcia’s involvement in the program will directly benefit the Ya’axché Institute for Conservation Education (YICE), where she plans to apply global best practices to enhance ecotourism initiatives and support local small enterprises in southern Belize.
