By Horace Palacio: The Xunantunich ferry is now operational, with a new capacity limit allowing for the crossing of two vehicles at a time, according to an update issued this morning by the Institute of Archaeology.

The Institute confirmed that operations are being closely monitored, and further updates will be provided as necessary to ensure the safety and efficiency of ferry services. Visitors and drivers are encouraged to exercise patience and follow the instructions of ferry operators during this time.

The Xunantunich ferry is a key access point to the renowned Maya archaeological site and remains an essential service for locals and tourists alike.
