With friends like these – waiting man shot on Easter Sunday

By Aaron Humes: Police continue to look for the man who opened fire on a supposed friend on Easter Sunday on Crown Street in the Lake Independence area.

ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division, detailed what police found: “Upon their arrival, they saw Christian Molina with gunshot injuries. He was taken to the KHMH for treatment where he is now there listed in a stable condition. Christian reported that he was in a yard in the area when he was approached by a male person who pulled out a firearm and fired shots in his direction. He ran off but was shot and is now stable. We’re seeking one suspect in regards to this shooting.”

No motive has been established according to police, and to the best of authorities’ knowledge, the men had not been in conflict before.
