By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Wingz Police delivered the upset of the $6K series, defeating Napoles 3–2 in a penalty shootout after a tense 2–2 draw in regulation on a rainy Friday night at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan.
Wingz Police goalkeeper Keith Allen was the hero, stopping three Napoles penalty kicks in the shootout. Danny Jimenez then sealed the victory with the decisive strike, giving Police sweet revenge for their previous $6K loss to Napoles.
Napoles, who had dominated the competition with three straight $6K wins, saw their streak snapped in dramatic fashion.
Challengers Match: Yo Creek edge Mango Creek 1-0
In the opening match, Yo Creek United of Orange Walk — reigning National Amateur Interdistrict Champions — defeated Mango Creek United 1–0. With the win, Yo Creek earned the right to face Wingz Police in the next $6K Match, tentatively scheduled for March 2026.
